Obituary for
Keith C. Fulsher
Keith C. Fulsher Sr., a longtime resident of Eastchester, passed away on Friday August 11th, 2017 at the age of 95, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born in Tomahawk, Wisconsin on July 29th, 1922 to the late Ward and Mattie (Ostrander) Fulsher. Keith was a graduate of Brooklyn College and served his country during WWII in the Navy Air Corps. He was in the banking industry for many years, starting as an auditor at Hanover Bank and retiring in 1985 as Executive Vice President of Barclays Bank.
Keith's lifelong passion was fishing and fly tying, and he was highly regarded in the sport, having been inducted into the Fly Fishing Hall of Fame. He published 4 books, with "Tying and Fishing The Thunder Creek Series" considered the go-to book for many fishermen. In later years, he took up photography and specialized in wildlife shots. Keith traveled all over the world seeking out the best salmon fishing rivers to conquer. Along with his wife Lois, he traveled to Yellowstone Park over 40 times to enjoy the fishing and the great outdoors. Keith was an active member of the Potatuck fishing club in Connecticut.
Keith is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years Lois Fulsher, along with his daughter Susan and son Keith Jr. (Mary Anne). He also is survived by four grandchildren, John Nardelli, Lynda Nardelli, Jason Nardelli and Danielle Essick (Andrew), and one great grandson Jack Nardelli.
The family will hold a viewing on Wednesday, August 16th at 5:00 PM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 100 Stewart Avenue in Eastchester, NY. A service at the church will follow the viewing at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
