In Loving Memory:

Marcella Rosignoli Cancro, 91 of Bronxville, NY, passed away on July 31, 2016. Marcella was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Cancro, Ph.D., loving mother of Lawrence and (Luise) Cancro, Barbara Cancro Carr, Susan Cancro Brown, and Lorraine and (Robert) Silvetz, MD., and dear sister of Renato Rosignoli and Theresa Scatola, and cherished grandmother of Laura Marie Cancro, Lisa Cancro, Andrew Carr, Cristina Carr, and Emma Brown.

Marcella Cancro was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother but also a highly educated woman. She earned her undergraduate degree at Hunter College, a Masters degree in Italian from Teacher's College at Columbia University, NY and a second Masters degree in Spanish from Iona College, NY. She began her career teaching third grade in New York City schools and later taught Italian, Latin, French and Spanish for over 25 years at Irvington High School, Irvington, NY.

Visitation will be held at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc, in Eastchester on Tuesday August 2, 2016, from 4-8 pm, with a eulogy presentation at 7pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe, NY on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 10:30 AM followed by entombment at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne,NY. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Marcella Cancro’s name to Melmark New England, 461 River Road, Andover, MA, 01810 or www.melmarkne.org.
