Shana Kesel Sabatini, aged 47 passed away in her home on April 22, 2024 surrounded by her family and close friends. Shana is survived by her husband Joshua Sabatini, daughter Isabella (13) and son Dominic (8), her parents Gergory and Cheryl Kesel of Rochester, her aunt Wendy of Michigan, and in-laws Richard and Shelley Sabatini, Jamie Clark (Joshua) and family all of Westchester county. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Janet Kesel and Robert Kesel. Shana was born and raised in Rochester New York and spent most of her early days on the beautiful waters of Lake Ontario. She went on to graduate from The University of Buffalo with a Masters degree in special education. She is remembered as a dedicated behavior therapist who cherished her job working with children throughout Westchester county. Shana loved spending time with friends and family on or near any body of water and being an active member of her community. A celebration of life will take place Saturday, April 27th from 2 to 6 pm at Westchester Funeral Home, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY. Adriana Portante, 89, of Brewster, NY, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2024. She was born on June 17, 1934, in The Bronx, New York. Adriana is predeceased by her loving husband William. She is survived by her sons, William (Christine) and Richard (ToniAnn). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Christina (Billy), Ariana, Nicholas, Julianna, and Joseph. Sunnaria “Sunny” Tobing Pettinati, 64, long-time resident of Scarsdale, NY passed away on April 19, 2024, after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on March 14, 1960, in New York City to Humala and Helen Lutsic. Sunny grew up in Mount Vernon, NY. Sunny was a long-time member of Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville, NY, where she graduated from the Deacon Training Program. She was long-time employee of Consumers Union in Yonkers, NY and Plaza Park Interiors. Proud member of The Communication Workers of America. Sunny was known for always wearing a cheerful smile. She received her bachelors degree from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry. She was pre-deceased by her husband Glenn Pettinati (1998). She is survived by her life-long partner John Santello, son Maxwell, daughter-in-law Caitlin, granddaughter Autumn, sisters Toba and Muti, brother-in-law Morris, brothers John and Mala, the Pettinati family along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A wake will be held at Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester, NY on Friday, April 26, from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Frances E. Tozzi of New Rochelle, NY passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024 at the age of 85. Fran was born to Agnes (Nancy) and William Flanigan on September 29, 1938 in Bronxville, NY. Cherished wife to her husband of nearly 62 years Alphonse Tozzi, and beloved sister to Jean (Flanigan) Colangelo and Ann Flanigan who all predeceased her. Beloved mother to her children, James, Robert (Ann Marie), John (Doris) Tozzi, and Nancy Moss (Daniel). She was adored by her grandchildren, Christina Cohen (Brett), Stephanie, Nicholas, Amanda, Robert Tozzi, and Owen and Gracie Moss as well as great-grandchildren, Sophia and Gianni Turco and Carter Cohen. A graduate of Eastchester High School, Fran dedicated her life to raising her family. She greatly enjoyed cooking/baking and passing down long-held family recipes was a passion of hers. Frannie also loved puttering around for hours in her victory and flower gardens, and treasured nothing more than long vacations at the Jersey Shore. Her fiery personality and effervescent character will live on in those whose lives she touched.
